Some guests rave about the amazing breakfast options, friendly staff, and unique dishes like the beet hummus toast. While others complain about small portions, overpricing, and rude service, the overall consensus is positive, making this cash-only joint a popular neighborhood gem for those looking for a tasty meal and a relaxed vibe.
No more waiters. You have to get up and down for your orders, water, salt and pepper, amd must bus your dishes. Quite uncomfortable when you have to get up and down when there's a crowd. Definitely lost the neighborhood feel. (Maybe it isn't a neighborhood in the old sense anymore? My toast was hard, coffee was cold and the portions have been reduced. What a shame. I loved it there. They now take Venmo as well as cash. Good thing.
This place over charges anything they can. Of course we expect high prices but even getting ice in a drink they charge an extra dollar. They don’t make paying easy and some of the employees are downright rude. They need to tighten up their definition of customer service. I used to come often but I’m fed up.
I dropped my cat off at the groomers and then had time to kill so I took a walk and wandered over to my old neighborhood and marveled at how much all the shops/restaurants had changed. (I haven't made it over here in probably a decade. The guy who took my order was very personable. I ordered an avocado toast with an egg. It was very good as was the coffee. I sat in the window which was great for people-watching. There could be 1 fewer chair at the window area, though, as it's a bit cramped when people sit down next to you. I would come back here if over by this way, again.
Cool place that gave me vibes of home in Melbourne Australia. Slightly disappointed with food and coffee but worth a visit if in the area.
Spent $40 for two pieces of soggy bread, and 2 pieces of bacon with one egg. And the order still wasn’t correct place is kind of a joke.Beyond that staff is so rude.Should leave it to the actual Milk Bar before trying to bank on a google search to get more visibility.
