Lucy's Vietnamese Bushwick - Brooklyn
Lucy's Vietnamese Bushwick
Description
Lucy’s offers a focused menu featuring pho and banh mi, with options for meat or tofu. Diners appreciate the well-seasoned dishes, particularly the Smoked Brisket Pho, which is often praised for its rich flavor and generous brisket portions. However, the banh mi has drawn mixed reviews, with some finding it soggy and lacking in flavor. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service, especially noteworthy in a bustling setting, make for a pleasant experience. While the venue may be better suited for takeout, many agree it might not outshine other traditional Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

Fyi this place is not celiac friendly thought the vermicelli noodles would be rice vermicelli like at most other vietnamese restaurants but they must have been wheat noodles or cross contaminated, as i got super gluten sick (inflamed, bloated, in pain) after eating. Also the chicken was boiled, dark grey , no seasoning and and tasted gamey, unfresh, overall terrible
Great Pho that's saved me multiple times, super fast service and consistent quality. Outdoor dining only, so if you're looking for ambiance you'd be better off getting your food to go and eating at home.
Racist dude with the Mets hat and mustache who was on a beer run while I was waiting to place an order kept loudly complaining that “these drivers can’t even read the tickets” and “they don’t even need to read English- they just gotta match the letters.” Followed by a hearty “welcome to America- land of the free”.Then his coworker made a vegan order with meat. And instead of remaking it, just took the meat off and replaced it with the vegan alternative.
Chickens texture was kinda weird to the point made me double check to make sure I hadn 't ordered vegan "chicken "Summer rolls were delicious tho
Vietnamese food (especially pho) in NYC is really bad. Lucy’s especially has absolutely zero authentic Viet food. They don’t even have the classic beef pho on their menu. Don’t know what’s up with the brisket pho but that’s not real pho ?? smh. The rest of the stuff on the menu is pretty mid.No place to sit down inside and their COVID outdoor seating area is a janky shack. Nah.
