Description

A renovated neighborhood fusion spot serving Japanese, HK and Malay-inspired dishes — praised for variety, value and takeaway platters (notably toro don) but polarizing overall. Diners report fast service and good prices alongside inconsistent food quality, occasional undercooked rice or dull sashimi, grease odors from an open kitchen, and repeated order/delivery problems and brusque phone service. Best for casual family meals or quick pickups; avoid for dates or special occasions.

Heard they open dine in again. Was a long term fan for them way before covid.Came back here yesterday for sushi and sashimi craving. The smell of grease is very bad like the other comment mentioned, they still carry the Chinese dishes which contains many fried items, the kitchen is open half way and their exhaust system is not good, when I left them after a brief meal, my shirt was soaked with grease smell and was unbearable. The service is slow and do not expect what you would get from a dine in restaurant. The “decor” for privacy is a joke, if you want a cheap Chinese meal, then go ahead. Don’t go there with friends or for a date. Now, for food quality, the light in there is very low, but you can tell the sashimi quality is lower than your Chinese owner Japanese restaurants, the color were mostly pale for them. For Chinese food as well, the bbq pork was drenched in oil and the texture is off too. OH! And the spicy scallop roll that used to be my favorite, they were bad! Will not recommend and will not come back due to the super low quality of food. My partner had issues with her stomach 2-3 hours later as well.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is incredibly tasty, and the portion sizes are generous. I'm a huge fan of the Buta Don bowl—it’s packed with meat and has a delightful sweetness that complements the rice perfectly. You get a significant amount of food for a very reasonable price.

I've had nothing but good experiences at this restaurant since it's opening, but my most recent visit truly left a bad taste. I'm not sure if the owners have changed as the employees have changed during COVID and they were the true gems.I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen and was served a dish topped with what seemed like salty stir fried pork. I asked the server if they made a mistake, and was told that the dish was indeed what I ordered. I let her know that there was a discrepancy between what was shown on the menu and what I was served and that I've ordered this dish multiple times prior and was never given what was in front of me previously. She assured me that nothing had changed and this was indeed the right dish. I asked her to bring the menu and the photo was in fact different she then changed what she said to me and proclaimed that the photos are enhanced to draw in customers. Is she suggesting false advertisement? She did not offer to fix the issue in any way. I kept the dish, ate the noodles and left the pork (btw there was one piece of fried chicken in there too? . She returned and asked if the pork was no good told her again that it was not what I ordered. She left without a resolution, again. The sushi quality is better than most in the immediate area, but given this last experience I am not sure whether I will be frequenting again in the future.

The sashimi was incredibly fresh and didn’t have the fishy taste that you often find at typical sushi restaurants. The menu has changed a lot over the past few months, offering a great variety. It's a very affordable spot for enjoying Southeast Asian and Japanese cuisine, and I would definitely recommend it!

Great sushi at affordable prices, with plenty of excellent combo options to choose from.
