Despite a disappointing dining experience, which included cold scones and incorrect drink orders, the staff was friendly. On a positive note, the vegan crepes and tasty cashew cheese received praise, with one reviewer dubbing it the best of its kind. The dessert offerings, however, received criticism for unusual flavors and poor textures, leading to an overall negative impression. Despite mixed reviews, the charming ambiance and dedicated staff left an impression on patrons, promising potential for better experiences.
The food was excellent, very satisfying. I also enjoyed the latte I ordered.
Lil Choc is one of my favorite places to eat in New York for a reason. Their crepes are perfect for any meal, whether it's brunch or dinner. I recently tried the burrito and jackfruit BBQ crepes for dinner, and they were amazing. The burrito had whole black beans, avocado, and a cashew crema which balanced the flavors perfectly. The jackfruit BBQ wasn't my favorite, but my girlfriend loved it. The crepes themselves were the highlight, with a subtly sweet batter that complemented the fillings. We ended the meal with a delicious dessert crepe filled with strawberries, Nutella, and whipped cream. Sitting outside was a great experience, especially since they have expanded their seating. In 2019, I still believe these are the best crepes in the world. Everything is vegan, and the crepes are creative and decadent. Make sure to get here early as it fills up quickly due to its small size.
A cozy place with tasty, healthy vegan crepes. The whole menu seems amazing. We had a savory breakfast crepe and a sweet one with walnuts, homemade nutella-like filling and jam. Both were extremely tasty, worth the price. Good coffee, even though very small (it’s a cortado on pics . Highly recommended:
Beautiful little gem in Williamsburg. So glad to find it by accident. The ambiance is lovely. Staff members are sweet and on point with their service. Ordered a Room of Mushroom savory crepe and was quite impressed. Very light on the starch. Amazing flavors. Satisfying yet not overwhelming feeling after a fairly big crepe. Definitely would swing back again for their other selection of crepes, and drinks next time..
I am OBSESSED with this place. This burrito crepe has the best combination of flavors it’s become a staple in my life. I love that everything’s so dang tasty here that it never feels like a sacrifice to be gluten free and vegan. Super bonus points that the staff is really lovely and always give me that neighborhood community vibe. I even bought their socks to show support for such a great hidden gem
