La Vara offers an exceptional culinary experience and is truly my favorite restaurant in NYC. Before the pandemic, we used to celebrate my birthday here every year, but we hadn't visited in over three years. We had high expectations for our return, and it did not disappoint! Excellent evening with friends, delicious New Year's Eve meal. With wonderful service from Daniel, I loved the turbot.
Wonderful little neighborhood place 1/2 block from our youngest son. Great service, fine food, brilliantly spiced. Ate in the little rear courtyard.
