What R doesn't like about Imani Caribbean And American:
Really wanted to love this place. This is my second time here and it was just as disappointing as the first time. The workers were all over the place extremely frazzled. The food came out extremely late and by the time it arrived the quality did not match the wait time. For example, the salmon dish was only an inch wide, and took over an hour to be served. It was definitely not worth the wait. If you are truly hungry... View all feedback. What Tiffany C likes about Imani Caribbean And American:
After a long walk from the subway to the restaurant we were happy for a comfortable, air conditioned seat inside. Us non New Yorkers were super tired and glad to reach our brunch destination. Service and food were great! I highly recommend the short rib poutine. I didn't know what to expect and I'm glad we stop by. We ordered a pitcher/carafe of the rum drink Great!I also tasted a sample from the others' meals Shrimp... View all feedback.

read moreImani is a charming, historic Brooklyn staple with Caribbean cuisine and a hip atmosphere. The service can be hit or miss, with long waits and inconsistent quality, but the food itself is delightful. Standouts include dishes like the curry shrimp and escovitch red snapper. They offer creative dishes and traditional cocktails, though tea options may be limited. Overall, Imani is worth a visit for a delicious meal with friends or family, especially if you enjoy Caribbean flavors in an upscale setting. Just be prepared for potential disorganization and service hiccups along the way.
