Description

Arepera Guacuco is an authentic Venezuelan restaurant located in the bustling neighborhood of Bushwick in Brooklyn. Our specialty arepas, lightly-fried corn patties filled with a variety of delicious ingredients such as cheese, vegetables, or meat, are made fresh to order as soon as you step through our doors. Enjoy a refreshing selection of beer and wine from our menu, or try our signature drink - the papelón con límon, a traditional Venezuelan limeade with a twist of molasses.

The cocada was absolutely divine! I tried to recreate it at home but didn't succeed. I highly recommend trying this drink when you visit. I ordered the Leo's Arepa and Pabellón Criollo. The arepa was incredibly tasty; I just wish it had a bit more cheese to enhance the meat and sauces. The arepa itself was fantastic—crispy on the outside and had that homemade taste. The pabellón criollo was delicious, though it felt a bit overpriced since everything on the plate could easily fit inside the arepa. Given that the arepa is this place’s specialty, it might be more reasonable to just order that. The customer service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, and the food was great! Don't forget to try the cocada; it's truly delicious!

Always a great place to go. I do wish there were more vegetarian options, still a great spot to come with friends, the boo or fam.

The food was decent, but the service could use some improvement. We were seated quickly and placed our order without delay, but it took about 40 minutes for our meals to be prepared. The arepa was a bit hard and quite dry, but everything else was quite enjoyable.
