Food was extremely good. I didn 't order anything particularly fancy , I had roasted salmon with sauteed broccoli and an appetizer with stracchino cheese and roasted peppers, my wife had a pasta: everything was so tasteful and very well prepared. The ambiance was really enjoyable: it was a quite night to begin with, but there was no background noise. Staff was nice and prompt we told them it was a bit too warm and th... View all feedback.
What Josh doesn't like about Gersi:
The good: the food was very good and offered at reasonable prices. Service was efficient for being really busy. Our server seemed to have many tables. The bad: the restaurant lacks comfort. We were there for prime time on Friday night (we had a reservation). It was extremely crowded and we were seated by the door. A wave of cold air smacked us every 30 seconds or so and I ate in my jacket. The aisle is very narrow an... View all feedback.
Stunning over this Italian restaurant. Very nice selection of pastas with several all their homemade pasta. Get a complementary Focaccia bread and chickpeas dip, which was very tasty and the rosemary really protruding. The starter or mushroom bruschetta was very nice, mushrooms literally needed a minute longer cooking, but they were still beautiful. The main course came out while I still ate my appetizers that was unexpected and bad restaurant labels. Mains should only be released when starters are deleted. My main was very nice, pasta perfectly boiled al dente and the sauce was rich, much of it and Aubergine (Aubergine) was melt in the mouth. Beautiful atmosphere with very attentive hosts sometimes somewhat too much, but this is a personal preference. Music was low allowed for entertainment and lighting was undermined for a beautiful romantic atmosphere. I would like to return here and try more of their dishes
Best dinner experience I had in NY. Laid back, comfortable, treated us like family. Dinner was delicious, great wine selection, dessert was awesome. Our waiter Ricky was possibly the nicest human I've met. Had great recommendations around Brooklyn. If I'm ever back in Brooklyn I'll make sure to come back here.
Solid Italian spot with a Brooklyn flair. The outdoor patio is heated in the winter and more spacious than jnside. Cacio Pepe was good, but the parpadelle bolognese was great!
Located in heart of Brooklyn, it is one of the neighborhood classics. The people who come here have known about the stop for ages and keep it close to their heart. The staff was very courteous; ambiance was musky/rustic in a good way showcasing how old Brooklyn really is and the charm that comes with having aged so well! My host told me the restaurant used to serve the mob at one point in time, which I had no trouble believing because the meat tasted fabulous!
Delicious food, consistently good, and the staff is very friendly. What led me to write a review is the thoughtful takeover order. It felt really good when I opened the bag at home and I saw that they contained their delicious bread and white beans. The little things are important! The brunch menu is quite extensive and has much more than eggs and toast. I am always satisfied and surprised by its quality, so I recommend it effectively.
