Feedback
The restaurant has received mixed reviews from patrons. Some have expressed that the food is decently priced but lacks flavor, particularly noting that the oxtail dish could use more seasoning. However, others have enjoyed the welcoming staff, variety of choices, and lively atmosphere, especially during events like the Superbowl party. There have been suggestions for improvement, such as enhancing the overall hospitality and adding more ambiance to the dining area. Overall, it seems that the restaurant has potential to be a popular spot in the neighborhood, especially with some adjustments to enhance the overall dining experience.
I made a reservation for 11:30. Drove all the way there o my to find out they close at 11pm. Informed they need to update them there times on Open Table as it was obviously an inconvenience. Must eat white castles!
Owners or managers must welcome guests and interact more with them. Good for the neighborhood, because there is nothing else at this time, but not the largest when hospitality improves
Also, calling codfish fritters without any codfish simply fried dumplings is misleading. The restaurant needs to improve! On a positive note, the server was polite and attentive, and the drinks were quite strong, so I'll give them credit for that. My suggestion would be to transform this place into a bar that focuses on drinks and finger foods, or to hire authentic Caribbean chefs.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The Guyanese worker was quite disrespectful. I ordered sorrel, and it tasted carbonated and unsweetened, which is not how it's supposed to be made. When I mentioned this, she didn't take my feedback seriously and continued talking, ignoring me. Additionally, there was a lady waiting at the bar for about 10 minutes while all the staff were chatting in the back and not attending to customers upfront. Overall, the service was lacking and the food was not what I expected.
