Was Matthew W at Esme a mag?
I went to this restaurant for brunch last Sunday and sat in their lovely backyard. I had the smoked salmon toast and a watermelon daiquiri, which were both delicious. It's a great place to visit if you're in the area. If you prefer indoor seating, it's recommended to make a reservation as they tend to get very busy! View all feedback.
What Clara Kling dislikes about Esme:
Bad service, it was booked in advance for a birthday, it was not received like other restaurants, it was never mentioned that it was a special occasion (birthday), not even in the dessert, and the piece of meat like it was in Water thawed, tasteless, uncooked and hard, I don't think we will be back, this is the third time we go and it was very bad, I don't recommend it View all feedback.
The restaurant is decent. The service was satisfactory. The appetizers were delicious, especially the beets and the delicata squash. The burger was average, and the chicken was overpriced for the quality. The chicken wasn't crispy and the meat was not particularly moist. The cocktails were weak for $16. Overall, if everything was 30% cheaper, it would be a good value.
I was pleasantly surprised by Emse's food quality and taste. When you first walk in, you're not sure what to expect. The bartender makes great drinks, and while the menu isn't extensive, the options are delicious. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is great, and the service is excellent.
This restaurant is a great spot for brunch with ample space and a charming backyard. The prices are a bit high, but the portion sizes are very generous. The only downside is the limited menu options, mainly consisting of sausages. I would love to see more vegetarian options such as avocado toast, veggie burgers, pancakes, and French toast.
