Reviews - Elberta
Reviews summary
Elberta offers fantastic oysters and shrimp, snapper, and steak entrees with a great cocktail selection in a relaxed atmosphere. Though service was a bit slow on busy nights and some menu items were unavailable, the eggs were tasty. While service during peak hours may be problematic, the food overall is worth another try. The Valentine's Day brunch shrimp and grits was a hit, while the chicken and waffles were just okay. For a pre-concert meal, make sure to communicate time constraints clearly with the attentive but sometimes overwhelmed staff at Elberta.

I wanted to really like Elberta's because their menu looked so yummy. However, on my first experience things were just a bit too stressful. The waitress took over minutes to bring out drinks and they came out one at a time. Also, our food was delivered to another table and then we were told that there was no more of what we ordered left. By the time we did get food, it was lukewarm at best. If they could improve their service I might be willing to try their food again. The deviled eggs weren't so bad at all.
Maybe because we were limited to the Valentines Day brunch menu. I enjoyed my shrimp with grits, but my wife said the chicken and waffles was OK My first time having a Bellini. I will have it again.
Oysters and shrimp appetizers were fantastic, as were the snapper and steak entrees. Wonderful cocktail selection as well! Friendly, relaxed service and ambience, a nice break from some Brooklyn restaurants which often try too hard.
Heard great things... Very chill place. Great service. Tried the dumplings and chicken- good but a bit too salty that day! I'm otherwise, great
