Nonetheless, I decided to give it a shot and ordered the jerk chicken and pork chops. The pork chop was well-cut, about an inch and a half thick, which is uncommon at local eateries. However, when I tasted the chicken, it tasted as if someone had mistakenly used sugar instead of salt. The pork chop was exceedingly tough; I couldn't manage to take a proper bite, and the flavor was quite unpleasant. I ultimately ended up throwing the entire meal away, which felt like a waste of $18. I would recommend steering clear of this place.

Each chef adds their own touch, but I really love the way they prepare it here. The flavors were fantastic, the chicken was tender, and the rice and beans were just perfect. The plantains were sweet and delicious too.

I told the server the avocado was black, but instead of replacing it, he said all avocado salads turn brown when exposed to air. There was no apology or offer to fix it, like adding lemon or lime to preserve the color. The cilantro rice had a horrible flavor and was drenched in oil—not good quality oil. I’m a chef and know my flavors—avoid this dish. The chicken was dry and burnt in some spots. Overall, really bad food. On the plus side, the French fries had great flavor and texture. The baked potato was dry with no sauce, butter, or cream. The La Chica cocktail was absolutely amazing—I highly recommend it. It could use just a little more liquor, but the flavor was fantastic.
