What Edgar “Bones” Ortiz dislikes about El Malećon:
One thing is certain - it doesn't seem like the food is being rotated at this restaurant. I went with my family and ordered stewed chicken and yellow rice, rotisserie chicken and yellow rice, and shrimp pasta. Unfortunately, we all ended up with upset stomachs later on. The experience was so disappointing, it even prompted my mother to cook the same dishes at home because the ones at the restaurant were not good. The... View all feedback.
Very tasty Dominican food in Bay Ridge and the portions are large. I prefer delivery versus dining in. Lastly, the young delivery guy is so courteous and kind. It is always a pleasure tipping him. I appreciate his hard work.
Great Dominican Puerto Rican Dishes served hot with all the traditional flavors the place is so so with regular decor nothing special the draw here is the food from sweet plantains, to seasoned rotisserie chicken, mangu (mashed banana dominican breakfast dish), classic spanish yellow rice and beans black or pinto, savory fried pork chops, and Pollo guisado, sancocho soup, tembleque and flan custard puddings tres leches cake all the goodies. The counter service is kinda meh some waitresses are really nice others not so much its hit and miss but the foods real good hit that carribean zest flavor spot. Beware those who have to avoid salt because it does get salty..enjoy in good health
Great dinning be coming here for years. The food is great and the staff always friendly . Recomendado 100
The waitstaff are hardworking, especially on busy days when they have a large number of customers. The food is absolutely delicious! However, I encourage you to make it a practice to cook at home most of the time, incorporating a variety of greens for your health!
