Perhaps it was a one off but the two young kids who were playing unsupervised in the middle of the restaurant floor were cute at first but they proved a noisy nuisance over the course of our meal, trying to hold a conversation. I assume they belong to the owners and while I really want to support local family businesses, its inappropriate to have that amongst paying diners who are trying to enjoy a meal.

Still tasty but not as saucy and tender duck ragú papardelle as they can do it. We’re neighbors and fans, so we were disappointed. Upon told, the waitress took it up the chain and they acted swiftly and comped our Entrées. Appetizers were fine. The drinks as usual, were marvelous.

We shared gnocchi with mushrooms, a grilled eggplant and fennel dish that was served over an amazing chickpea polenta, and mussels, clams and shrimp in a savory broth. The group I was with ordered several different things (pasta with duck ragu, crusted pork tenderloin with marsala sauce and mushrooms, and pasta with pesto sauce) and each were incredibly good. The pasta was fresh and well made, and my pesto sauce was some of the best I've ever had. We each got cocktails as well and they were delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, as were several other members of the staff.

With outdoor dining op... read more Enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight at Della a great little spot in Prospect Park Brooklyn that sits in a beautiful residential neighborhood. With outdoor dining options and a lovely cozy bar area it’s the perfect ‘neighborhood’ place to enjoy a drink (or more), some really thoughtful cuisine in a relaxed environment. The farro salad was delicious with small manchego cheese bits in it, and the salmon was cooked perfectly with a creamy mash below and perfectly sautéed grape tomato halves. All paired with a light Verdicchio dei Castelli recommended by Lisa washed it down perfectly. Yum! To finish the pairing of the key lime pudding with crumble below and the light chocolate mousse with a simple whipped cream dollop hit the spot. Didn’t think to ask about an after dinner drink…next time! A worthwhile spot to return to! The garden terrace area in the back is really cute and rumor has it they’re making more improvements inside and out!

It was a little past 9 PM when the owner picked up and invited me to come over. I arrived in about 15 minutes and was greeted warmly by two staff members. The owner handed me the menu and went over the evening's specials. Now, let's talk about the food and drinks. I started with a pineapple mojito, which was refreshing and simply delicious—a solid 10/10. For my appetizer, I tried a bread boat filled with cheese and topped with a cracked egg. It was tasty, although I'm not a huge fan of eggs, so I’d rate it an 8/10. For my main course, I ordered the duck ragu served with house-made pappardelle pasta, and it was incredible! It was my first time trying duck prepared this way, and I would give it a 10/10. For dessert, I opted for a lava cake paired with vanilla ice cream, while the table next to me enjoyed crème brûlée and strawberry shortcake. Although I was dining alone, the owner and I had a delightful conversation; he was very friendly. Overall, the food and service were excellent, and I'm really glad I stumbled upon this place. I will definitely return!
