Daigo Hand Roll - Brooklyn
Daigo Hand Roll
Description
Hidden inside Dekalb Market Food Hall, this hand-roll-focused sushi bar draws steady lines for impeccably fresh seafood, crisp nori and well-seasoned, properly textured rice. Staff are friendly and accommodating; orders travel well in neat takeout boxes, making it a favorite for quick bites, pre-movie snacks or leisurely food-hall meals. Portions skew small and prices are on the high side, and one reviewer reported a serious post-meal illness, so caution is advised.

After enjoying a few drinks, I decided to stop by and try some hand rolls for the first time. I must say, this place did not disappoint! The hand rolls were incredibly fresh, making me crave more with every bite. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area. Food rating: 4/5.
I love the sushi every time I order from there. The service is great, and the staff are very professional. I highly recommend checking them out!
I absolutely love this restaurant—it's probably my favorite spot for hand rolls in the area. Unlike the more popular KazuNori, the rolls here truly complement the fresh seafood instead of being overpowered by the rice. The seaweed is perfectly crispy, and the rice is at the ideal temperature and consistency. I always come back for the scallop hand roll, yellowtail and scallion, and the toro.
A lunchtime favorite The lunch special comes with 2 or 3 hand rolls along a miso soup or bottle of water. The 2 roll option is very filling and the options were varied. I enjoyed the quick pick up time after placing my order Dekalb market has many sittings areas.
