What Don K likes about China New Star Open Kitchen:
This is a classic New York Chinese restaurant. Newly renovated decor. White linen tablecloths, good size portions and attentive staff. Lots of waiters eagerly take orders and get your food out quickly, nice and hot. We all went home well fed and with doggie bags. View all feedback. What Arlene O doesn't like about China New Star Open Kitchen:
We've been going to China New Star for years but lately we've noticed the food is terribly greasy, sometimes burned and the cuts of meat are fatty and poor. The egg rolls, which used to be delicious, are often soaked in grease and completely inedible. read moreChina New Star stands out as a revitalizing gem in the heart of Brooklyn, blending classic charm with modern touches. Guests are greeted by attentive staff and inviting decor that includes white linen tablecloths. Generous portions and a diverse menu feature comforting favorites like General Tso's Chicken and Shrimp with Lobster sauce. Many patrons appreciate the traditional dining experience, complete with hot tea and crispy wontons. While some have noticed inconsistency in food quality, the overall commitment to customer service and cleanliness remains unwavering. Ideal for families, this restaurant continues to inspire nostalgic cravings for authentic Chinese cuisine.
