Contribute FeedbackCheryl's Global Soul is a charming and laid-back restaurant located near the Brooklyn public library, featuring plenty of outdoor seating and a dog-friendly atmosphere. While the breakfast sandwich may have left a vegetarian reviewer with limited options, the blackened catfish special received high praise, especially when paired with the baked Mac n Cheese. The ambience of the restaurant was commended, although the experience may have been marred by last-minute reservation changes. However, overall the food was consistently delicious, with friendly and efficient staff members. Guests praised the flavorful food options, such as the friend chicken sandwich and pancakes, and recommended trying the global bowl choices. Despite some service hiccups, Cheryl's Global Soul remains a highly recommended spot for a satisfying meal.
The only problem is that it was freezing inside the restaurant and we all had to wear our oats and scarves, etc. while eating. Not conducive to having s relaxing meal.
Food was very good. I had the vegetarian chili and all I can say is yum! The portions are certainly ample and the service was friendly.
The food, drinks and service were excellent. The only issue my date and I had was that the dining area was chilly. Other than that we had a great time.
I took a chance and booked this ppace on a late Sat night. My friend is tied up until the late nights. We drove past the place initially because its not that noticeable on the dark street. Almost decided to go elsewhere, but convinced ourselves to look. That was a great decision. A care pulled out of a parking spot right in front and we knew it was karma to cone here. The place is a simple nice layout and we felt immediately comfortable upon entering. We were freeted by Alexa who was also our server, and thats all she wrote! Alexa said the rum pumch was good, and we ordered 2 of them. They were fairly potent! I enjoyed that. We ordered the chili plum wings, and the calamari to start. The wings were ok and the calamari was really good, even without the dipping chili plum, which is delicious! I decided to have the blackened catfish, which came with sauteed spinach, and mac and cheese. This was so good! The mac and cheese was amazing, and so was the spinach and the catfish. They give nice portions for you to really enjoy. My friend ordered the striped bass escovitch style, also quite delicious. We got a taste of the string beans whoch were crunchy with a flavorful sauce to it. Will order a larger size next time. Listen, this place is a little neighborhood gem thats merits multiple visits!
The outdoor backyard patio and evening music were so pleasant. The house made ginger drink was delicious and we ordered silt poke of the seafood specials. The fish was cooked perfectly and the vegetables elevated the dish.Food: 5/5
