The food, while superficially exotic, is plain and hearty. It's also well-crafted and tasty. We enjoyed the mushroom and prosciutto cheese oats very much. The mulled wine was tasty. The dumplings were a bit too thick. View all feedback.
What Enjoyable dislikes about Cheeseboat:
Terrible experience. Avoid this place. We were seated at the worst spot, crammed between the bar and kitchen, constantly brushed by passing waiters—even though the restaurant was half empty. We waited 15 minutes without a menu and only received one after the waiter asked if we were ready to order. Absolutely awful service. After living in NYC for 30 years, this was by far the worst service I’ve ever encountered. View all feedback.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but my experience was disappointing. The food was just okay, and the service was quite slow. The dessert, “Napoleon”, took forever to come and wasn’t enjoyable, it had a buttery texture that I wasn’t expecting. Overall, I hope they can improve their service! Price per person: $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

WOW! What a wonderful place! If you are cheese lover, then you should definitely give it a try. The menu has so many interesting options to choose from. We ordered Shkmeruli Chicken'boat and Honeycomb Brie. Both of them were super big and super delicious! Ican't wait to come back and try other options.
I came here on my BDay to celebrate! Celebrating with some cheesy food was a great idea. This is a Cheese-taculer place! Service: Wonderfull service, tips included, so no stress on that. The explain the menu well and quick to serve you. Ilove how my waiter warned me about my order size, but am only here one time, so I knew Ill take some of it home! Very nice, friendly, and cool~ Cheese Pizza Bread: The cheese bread is amazingly cheesy with tons of cheese goodness inside thischeesebread that is well worth it, you can share it with 4 people, becuase it sure it cheesy and filling! Meatball Heeseboat:The bread has yogurt it in, so its soft with a lot of flavor. The mozzarella cheese is beautifully melted and the meatballs wereamazing. The spices in the meat made it pop and it was very soft. One is enough for 2 people Some small mushroom squareappetizer: Flaky crust with mushrooms. Of course, tons of cheese again! A bit small for me, but overall amazing to try! OverallI LOVE it, too bad I live too far to come often! The best part is that you can really just buy one cheeseboat and share it withtwo. Thats like a lunch or dinner costing less than 30 bucks with tip included. So if you on a date and know you don't havemoney, but still want to look cool and impress the girl/guy/non-gender with a cool place, then Cheeseboat it is! Either way, itis a great place to gey your cheese fix, it is wonderful and will definitely come back if am in the area! My cholesterol isbeyond imagination after the visit, so I need to hit the gym for a few weeks to work it off! Its worth it!
The food is amazing the service is amazing so much so that I had my wedding reception here! Thank you cheeseboat for making my dreams come true and our guests belly’s fully and happy. We will definitely continue to visit and enjoy not only the food andamazing staff but the special place this restaurant holds to us. Thank you ????
First time I’ve tried Georgian cuisine, and it was delicious. Now if I’ll go to other Georgian restaurants I’ll compare them with Cheeseboat.
Amazing menu offerings. Cheeseboats are fun and large enough to share. Cheese breads are also large portion. Good place to order a few things to split. Plenty of outdoor seating options. Service was great. Overall a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the honeycomb and brie cheeseboat! Interesting bathroom with chalkboard walls and a nefarious looking stuffed clown.

I had the basic Cheeseboat and it was amazing. Cheese and egg in bread has no business being culinary revelation. It's like no other dish, a complete change of pace. If I'm going to eat in that section of Williamsburg I'm going to Cheeseboat.
I’ve been here three times, and find it incredibly satisfying. There’s nothing else quite like it in Williamsburg.
Came here on a whim sat outside. It was a gorgeous day out and had soup dumplings and the chicken cheeseboat. I’ve never had Georgian food before it was definitely something I’d try again !
Accommodated a very large group of family on short notice, with fast, friendly, and flexible service. Food is amazing. Great spot!

I really enjoyed the ambiance and cuisine at this restaurant. It's my kind of no-nonsense spot.
I had an incredible time at Cheeseboat! Mariam took great care of me and Pablo cooked the most delicious kachapuri I've ever had. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
I love Georgian cuisine, so I was very excited to have dinner here. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant.
A cozy atmosphere and the best Georgian flavors, that’s how I would describe Cheeseboat

Amazing food. Shkmeruli Chicken Cheeseboat is a favorite, but every one I have had has been good. The Honeycomb Brie Cheeseboat was much better than expected. For something different get the sampler with the walnut pastes. Dumplings are good too.
It was tasty enough but barely warm when it arrived. And they didnt send the wine that I ordered. Super bummed when you spend $140 on delivery for two people. Celebrating Georgian Christmas without wine is also a huge bummer.

I not only found the end choices interesting, the food was scrumptious! Even better I had no idea there was 'Georgian ' cuisine. It was a delight learning all about it. Our server was so nice. It was an overall wonderful experience.
First off, we traveled all the way from Montréal, Canada JUST to indulge in the Cheeseboat (thanks Insider and frankly, you guys delivered A !! We arrived around lunch time w/o a reservation (we're 2 couples and received a very warm and friendly greeting! I gave my name and we went for coffee to kill the waiting time. When we came back, the host/server recognised us (extra points! and had our table ready! We all ordered beers and our cheeseboats. Service was on time, with a smile and very welcoming! The decor is super cosy, you feel very at ease and comfortable. Music was perfectly balanced with the crowd noise. (Loved the music choice BTW Aaaaand the REAL review... the Cheeseboat. What can I say... it was everything we expected it to be, and so much more! The cheese... the egg... the dough... you guys were absolutly worth the 8 hours drive! We will be back!!!!!! Thanks!
By far the best meal I’ve ever had! The classic cheese boat is out of this world! I’d give it 10 stars!

The service here was amazing my bf is on crutches and they were so courteous, PLUS the food was great and came out so quickly! recommend:
First of all, it took half an hour to get our food. Rez at 8. The food came at 9:27 seconds, We paid $28 for ribs that not even meat on them. Besides, there were four ribs for $28. ridiculous. They were small and had no food on them, literally, it was fried bones. We were so fed with the place we paid and left and didn't even want to get into an argument with them. $100 down. Wasted our time and ruined our night. Don't go.
Enjoyed a nice meal with a friend at the Williamsburg Cheeseboat. The ambience is definitely better than it’s Hell’s Kitchen counterpart, with dimmed lighting and trendy decor. The food was 10/10, per usual. The cheeseboats are a must-have, and we also enjoyed our cocktails. The service was a bit slow and we did have to flag down the waiter to order after 30 minutes.
Love setting sail with my maties at ye ol cheeseboat in Willy B’s. Wait staff handled our table of 15 with ease and the food was tasty as always.
