My boyfriend and I came all the way from Fortlauderdale, FL to try Casa Ora. And we absolutely love it. We've been to so many different Michelin star restaurants but Casa Ora completely got our hearts. The food is just unforgettable, Cocktails are the best in NYC and the desserts were super delicious. We will definitely come back and 100000000% recommended.
Where do I start. I let them know ahead of time I was back of house at another Michelin start restaurant in Brooklyn and that it was my birthday. I didn’t expect any special treatment or free food, just that they’d care enough to not put unseasoned foodon my table. First thing I see sitting down is a cute little paper sign letting me know I have 90 minutes to give the table up.Cool, that’s not a lot but also not a little amount of time. I’m sure we could fit the dining experience we were lookingforward to in that time. The wait staff was quick to come quick to leave, no explanations about the food or drinks given. Hugeturn and burn vibe. The food was bland and didn’t live up to the premium price we paid at the end. The rice was watery andtasted as if they forgot to season it. Everything was minimum effort in my personal opinion. The octopus was ok, but like youcouldn’t pickle it slightly or brine it for an hour or two? Just so let down. Wish I would have had my birthday dinnerliterally anywhere else. The decor was cool though. Good photo opportunities? Good drinks as well.
My roommate and I came here for the Family 3 Course Meal and it did not disappoint! We paired it with a couple of their cocktails which were super good- they have a fun list of cocktails going and our waiter was attentive and friendly when we askedfor his recommendations. The portions were a bit small for my liking but nonetheless everything came out delicious. I loveanything mushrooms and the main course was of course mushrooms and they seasoned it perfectly. We enjoyed the restaurant verymuch. I also think it's an amazing concept for them to giving back to the community by having complimentary meals so thank youfor this thoughtful and creative idea and having your customers best interest at heart :
