Nestled in Bay Ridge, this café presents a mixed bag of experiences. While many patrons cherish its inviting atmosphere and commend the friendly staff, concerns about inconsistent service and underwhelming food quality persist. love this cafe! it's my favorite in the neighborhood, and one of the only places I can find with decent food and coffee. only thing I would say is that the waitresses are very nice, but not as organized as they could be. otherwise the best coffee shop in bay ridge! View all feedback.
What T Ak dislikes about Caffè Café:
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The coffee was decent, but the croissants were quite disappointing—far worse than what you'd find at a corner bodega. They tasted stale and seemed like they were a few days old. Everything on the menu was overpriced, and if you're going to charge that much for a croissant, it should definitely be fresh. I would recommend saving yo... View all feedback.

Caffe Cafe truly embodies the essence of Bay Ridge—charming, principled, family-oriented, and welcoming. It serves as a beautiful cultural hub for the community. It’s heartening to see it thrive in the face of the terrible illegal pot shops that tarnish our neighborhood. This cafe is inclusive and embraces people of all races, genders, and sexual identities. The quality of the coffee and food is exceptional, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Thank you for being authentically you. Caffe Cafe exemplifies the best of capitalism by providing value, culture, and employment for the community. Keep being who you are! XO.
Very cute coffee shop. I come here a lot for the atmosphere and their coffee is incredible I love the variety of flavors they offer as well. And great macarons. A bit overpriced
I've ordered coffee here several times, and each time it's been worse than what you'd get at Starbucks, which is quite disappointing. I hesitated to leave a negative review before because the cakes were acceptable. However, today I purchased a chocolate cake that tasted like it had been sitting out for at least two days, leaving me very dissatisfied and disappointed.
As a person of color who used to frequent this place and lives around the block from here, I am incredibly appalled by their lack of consistency in customer service. I usually don 't write reviews but this place deserves one based on two recent experiences I have had here. Today, I ordered a muffin and ice tea while I was working. I was there for about 60 to 70 minutes. I know there is a 90 minute limit and I usually head out at that mark. Cafe cafe needed to seat 4 people. I still had half of my muffin and a quarter of my ice tea left. However, instead of asking me to move to another empty table they served me the check. I would have appreciated them leading with We have a table of 4, would you mind moving? When I did not put my card in with the bill the owner says to me We have a limit of 90 minutes . I understand that places have a turnaround time but I found this dishonest and discriminatory because there was a white female patron who was there before I arrived, yet she was never served a check. I wish it was an isolated incident but a few days ago I went here and the owner/manager made me wait 5 minutes while she counted up the cash register. I missed a work meeting because I was waiting on her. What infuriates me is that I still tipped them for service when they did not deserve it. I came today hoping for a different experience but it was worse. I believe in supporting our local businesses but this place does not deserve my patronage anymore. If this is how they treat frequent patrons they don 't deserve any loyalty.

Absolutely adorable cafe! There's street parking available, which is great for New York. The interior is charming, and the staff was incredibly friendly! I popped in to grab a bite to eat and some coffee. We tried the specials, Serendipity and Super Blue. I requested them to be a bit less sweet, but they were both absolutely delicious. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and a Panini (I think it was called The Portino, but I’m not entirely sure). Both were fantastic! I highly recommend visiting this place. The desserts and baked goods also looked amazing! Our bill for two lattes, the sandwiches, and a Crumb cake came to about $33. The sandwiches included chips as well. I’ll definitely be back!

1) I ordered a latte, and honestly, their espresso was the worst I've ever tasted. They really need to consider changing their coffee beans or checking their espresso machine. As a professional barista, I can easily tell that something is off, just from the color alone. I'm not the only one noticing this issue; you can find other patrons mentioning it in their reviews. 2) The prices are excessively high. I'm familiar with coffee shop pricing, and a small iced latte shouldn’t cost $7 in a local Bay Ridge coffee shop. 3) The most critical reason: the staff was quite aggressive and unwelcoming. I greeted them with a "good morning," and one employee didn’t even acknowledge me. The woman with glasses was particularly rude for no apparent reason. When I asked her about the location of the garbage bin (I didn’t want to leave my trash on the table), she rolled her eyes and pointed without saying a word. (Maybe she’s having a bad day, or perhaps it’s something else.) I gave them a 30% tip, but I really regret it. I visited on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 9:15 AM, and I assure you this will be my last time there. I do not recommend this place.

My favorite place! I love the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Great staff. Delicious coffee. Always friendly faces at the other tables. Whether you go in alone or with a group, whether you stay for 10 minutes or 2 hours, it's a great experience

This is our go to café in Bay Ridge. Mary Ann has turned this place into a little slice of heaven. Whether you have your cappuccino outdoors or inside, it's the best! Service is wonderful. The pastries are delicious. I love this place!
It's fantastic to have them back! The atmosphere is wonderful, and it's perfect for enjoying time with friends over some great coffee.
I visited this restaurant on Friday with my mother, and I have to say, I’m surprised by its low rating. I found it to be quite charming—clean, with a wide variety of drinks and food, and most importantly, very friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our cold beverages on a warm spring day! I highly recommend giving this cafe a chance!
