Boutros, a hidden gem in Brooklyn, has captivated diners with its inventive twist on Mediterranean cuisine. The menu expertly highlights a selection of dishes, such as the short rib hummus and labneh, showcasing simplicity without compromising flavor. While the atmosphere is warm and inviting, serving both families and couples alike, some patrons note inconsistencies in authenticity and portion sizes. Nonetheless, the praised cocktails and standout entrees, including pork shank and mezze, keep guests returning. With a dedicated chef at the helm, Boutros is rapidly becoming a must-visit destination for foodies and casual diners in the area.
This place has really upped its game—worthy of a Michelin star.
We live in the neighborhood and have only ever had amazing meals here. We recommend it to everyone we come across. The pork shank, chicken, labneh, potatoes, and short rib hummus are our favorites, but the whole menu is worth a go! Truly a no skips menu. Chef Allen is a true expert in his craft and a kind soul on top of it, Fiona and Venus took good care of us on our last visit, and the chef’s counter seating gives a nice intimate look at the back of house. Truly cannot recommend the place more.
My first time at Boutros, I sat at the chef's counter for dinner and loved everything about it. The food was delicious and the experience of watching the cooks is welcome (when they make a great dish and also when they make evident mistakes). Since then I've been back for brunch and dinner and loved it every time. The shakshuka was delicious, the Summer hummus with veggies was so refreshing... I just want to try everything every time. The staff is normally inattentive, whether the tables are busy or not. I like the sidewalk seating, but indoors it is quite dark and plain.
Food was delicious. Ambiance was excellent for brunch. We got some nice seats by the window. Our server was top notch, always checking in on us, making us laugh. Overall a great time! Thank you! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
