Baya Bar in Bay Ridge has garnered a mix of praise and criticism from patrons. While many adore the inviting atmosphere, engaging owner, and extensive menu featuring refreshing smoothies and acai bowls, others have voiced concerns about inflated prices and portion sizes. Some diners found the bowls too small for the cost, while others appreciated the generous toppings and overall quality. The restaurant's cleanliness and friendly staff received positive mentions, suggesting a lively spot for summer visits. Ultimately, Baya Bar offers a healthy dining option but may benefit from addressing some customer apprehensions surrounding pricing transparency.

This restaurant is extremely overpriced. I ordered the largest size acai bowl they had, which turned out to be tiny for $15. I usually go to Playa Bowl where they offer bigger bowls for cheaper prices. Additionally, the strawberries in my bowl were green. When I asked for a bag, they forgot to give me one and the lady behind the counter had a terrible attitude. I do not recommend this restaurant.

A beautifully decorated chalkboard wall with a great selection of drinks and bowls, welcome you through the glass doors. The overall vibe of the space is inviting and fresh. This place is going to be hot spot in the summer time. The owner is very engaged with his store and customers. The sitting space is small but comfortable. I've had many Açai bowls from Hawaii to California and New York. This is definitely the best I've had in NYC. Good quality stuff. I'm glad it's here in my neighborhood of Bay Ridge.

This place is heaven. The staff is extremely extremely helpful, friendly, and amazing. The manager is always on point on making sure his customers are treated good. I love coming here for acai bowls, smoothies, and even juices. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you Baya Bar 3rd Avenue!

Avid customer to Baya Bar. CONS pricey for the size of the bowls, they put too much toppings for the amount of purée fruit. It?s too dry because of the excessive granola, coconut shavings. If they give more purée then it would taste better. PROS a healthy meal. It?s very filling. My top recommendations are pacific beach bowl (Açaí , Biya Pitaya which is the pinkdragon fruit. The coconut options are good as well. I dislike the Kale. Too many ice chips mixed into the purée. Overall agood place, very clean, owners are very sweet and welcoming. Love the business !!

I recently discovered Baya Bar in Bay Ridge and liked it so much I returned the next day. I first tried the coconut smoothie (coconut, banana, coconut milk, organic coconut water), which cost $9.34 with tax. The next day I tried the Pacific Beach bowl(acai, strawberry, blueberry, granola, coconut shavings, honey), which cost just over $10 for the small bowl. It was delicious!I?ve read a lot of reviews complaining about the smoothie bowl being overpriced or too many toppings, but I actually found thetoppings to be very generous and not overwhelming for the amount of acai. The prices might seem expensive, but I think they?reactually very reasonable given how much food costs at the grocery store these days. The prices reflect the current state of theeconomy and inflation. It?s nice to have a healthy food option in Bay Ridge and I look forward to drinking smoothies all summerlong.
