Alenbi - Brooklyn
Alenbi
Description
Alenbi presents a trendy atmosphere with a thoughtfully curated ambiance and attentive staff. While some guests celebrated the inventive Israeli cuisine, highlighting unique dishes like tempura ribeye and stunning desserts, others found the food overly seasoned and overpriced, leaving them hungry. The limited menu may please adventurous diners but can disappoint those seeking classic options. Service experiences varied, with some noting inefficiencies despite a quiet environment. Overall, Alenbi offers a blend of beautiful presentations and flavors, though the inconsistent execution suggests a need for refinement to fully satisfy diverse patrons. Reservations are advised for curious foodies.

WOW WOW WOW! As an Israeli, I never thought anyone could surprise me with my own home cuisine, but let me tell you—this chef is brilliant! The food was AMAZING! It was not only beautiful to look at, but the flavors were incredible. Each dish felt like home, but with an extra touch of love and style. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation—just make sure to come hungry to fully enjoy the experience!
Staff and management very friendly and the food was AMAZING. Highly recommend the pecking duck and every appetizer they serve
The atmosphere is trendy, and the ambiance is thoughtfully curated. The kitchen efficiently serves up its delicious dishes. The waitstaff is attentive and polite, striking the right balance without being intrusive or awkward, as you might find in some establishments. The desserts are especially noteworthy, featuring unique flavors and artistic presentations that truly impress.
Unique and inventive tho limited choice menu. But not for those faint of palate! I loved the food, asthetic plating, imaginative recipes. But be careful and clear with your waiter if you 're sensitive to hot spices. example: deconstructed falafel was topped with shaved jalapeño ...and cilantro. Again, ask waiter to have chef hold those back. My wife was miserable and ate almost nothing. Also, on the minus side, there 's a marked absence of grains. Highlights for me: Gin cocktail called the Abba Eban featuring , yes you guessed it: jalapeños and cilantro, passionfruit purée, simple syrup and lime. Yum. Coconut rose water custard with light berries sauce topped with pistachio crumble. Simply one of the five best desserts of my life swoon . You won 't find tea, coffee, nor espresso. Portions are adequate. Menu includes NO SOUPS , eight appetizers, five entrees, two desserts. Period. In short: great restaurant for adventurous palates!
