Description

Nestled on the outskirts of Oregon, Chan's Chinese American stands out for its welcoming atmosphere and a menu that caters to both traditional and vegan palates. With a respectable selection of 3-4 vegan options clearly marked, patrons can enjoy dishes like Szechuan veggies with rice—highly praised by those missing the comfort of classic Chinese takeout. While the staff is friendly and helpful, the absence of vegan soup can be a drawback. However, the consistently excellent food and generous portions make Chan's a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine.

I have always loved Chan's food; it's the best Chinese cuisine in town. Whenever anyone asks me where to find the best Chinese food, I always recommend this place. My favorite dish is the House Special Lo Mein. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they are very knowledgeable about the menu—they often suggest items that pair perfectly with what I’m craving.

The food was excellent, and there was some beautiful jewelry available for sale from Paparazzi.

Chan's Chinese American is a charming little restaurant located on the outskirts of Oregon. They provide about 3-4 vegan options, all conveniently listed in their own section of the menu. I had the Szechuan veggies with white rice, and it was arguably the best Chinese food I've enjoyed since becoming vegan. If you find yourself longing for those relaxed takeout nights that are hard to replicate these days, Chan's will surely satisfy your cravings. Just a quick note—they didn’t have any vegan soup available during my visit, but the server still suggested soup to accompany my meal, so you might want to skip it unless they have a vegan option available at the time.

They serve an exceptional Szechuan sauce and a wonderful Kung Pao sauce, both of which are vegan. Simply ask for your dish without meat, and the tofu is amazing.
