La Cabana Express - Brookfield

This charming, cozy restaurant is a hidden gem. They serve delectable homemade dishes at reasonable prices, and the staff is very friendly. The seating is a bit small, so be prepared to wait if you have a large group, but the experience is certainly worth it.

Overall, the food at this restaurant was tasty but not completely authentic. My Milanesa was good, but a bit soggy with melted cheese on top for some reason. The salad was underneath everything and became partially cooked from the heat. The beans seemed well-prepared. The Gorditas appeared to be fried or partially fried, and again the salad suffered from the heat. The prices were reasonable if you're looking for something half-authentic. The service was great!

I am completely in love with LaCabanita and can't get enough of it. Not only are they the top Mexican restaurant in the area, but possibly the best restaurant overall! You must try their homemade mole sauce, which is made with around 860 ingredients *drooling*. LaCabanita is a family-owned establishment, and their pride in the business shows through in the delicious, authentic recipes from their native Mexico. The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend LaCabanita to everyone! Omnomnomist:

I love her El Pastor dinner. I'll say this place is a little pricy for tacos, but I think it's totally worth it. I love the decor too. It's a great place to eat with the family.

Went to LaCabanita because it open late. The staff was very friendly and funny. Must be family owned. I prefer that. Great selection of food on the menu. Ordered a few items and they all were delicious. Highly recommend.
