The decor is vibrant and cheerful, and while the space is small, the flavors are enormous. They prepare the freshest guacamole right at your table. The chips are incredibly fresh, lightly salted, and the salsa has a delightful smokiness to it. My passion fruit margarita on the rocks had me feeling great after just one drink. I ordered the birria tacos, which were incredibly delicious, and my partner went for the steak tacos—she loved them so much she finished all three! I also enjoyed the elote that came with my meal; it was perfectly sweet. The staff is super friendly, very attentive, and genuinely kind. Parking is metered outside but is free after 7 PM.

I live just a few blocks away, but each time my delivery has been over 30 minutes late, the food has been cold, and my order has been incorrect. While I appreciate that they have excellent reviews for dining in, I won’t be ordering for delivery again. If you want to enjoy their food, I recommend going in person. I hope they take their feedback seriously and work on improving their delivery service.

Recently, I ordered takeout—two beef fajita meals—and enjoyed a margarita while I waited, for a total of about $60. I asked for some cheese for the fajitas and was told it would cost $2.50, and there was an additional $5 charge for three extra tortillas (each meal already includes three). I paid for the extras, but I mentioned that I felt this wasn't the best approach to customer service. The food is decent, especially since it's the nearest Mexican restaurant. I understand that they've faced difficulties during the pandemic, but if I'm spending around $500 a year here, I would hope for a bit more generosity, like throwing in the cheese and a few extra tortillas. It feels like my business isn't appreciated, so I think I will go elsewhere in the future.

I checked their menu online through Seamless and decided to call in my order for pickup to avoid delivery fees. When I got home, I realized that my order was not what I expected. Admittedly, I should have checked it before leaving the restaurant, but who really does that? Upon opening my order at home, I discovered that one item was missing a key ingredient, and the tacos, which the Seamless menu clearly stated would come with rice and beans, did not include them. I called the restaurant to voice my concerns, and the person on the phone informed me that tacos no longer include rice and beans, and that they are currently working on updating the online menu. They offered to remake the missing item correctly and said I could either pick it up or have it delivered. While I appreciated the offer to correct the mistake, this left me with two options: go back out or wait an uncertain amount of time for delivery. Understandably, I was frustrated by the inconvenience, so I asked if they could include the rice and beans to make up for the errors, but the answer was no. At this point, I decided to return the food and ask for a refund, especially since it was quite pricey—$18 for three simple tacos! I understand that inflation affects prices, and I appreciate the hard work that restaurants put in, but $6 per taco feels excessive. Throughout this ordeal, the staff member I spoke to never apologized for the mistake or the trouble I experienced, and he was rather rude as well. Needless to say, I won’t be returning. Frida's Tacos are much better and more affordable. I suggest going there instead.
