Be sure to get here as early as you can in the day.

The coffee, particularly the Cortado I had, was exquisite. The sandwiches were also quite delicious. I believe the service and the quality of the food made it worth every penny.

A friendly young man whom I believe is the owner welcomed customers with a smile. The lovely young lady at the counter recognized some of the regulars by name and greeted them warmly. The music selection was fantastic—when I heard The Bee Gees, I knew I had found the right place! At the back of the shop, there’s a cozy reading nook, and out front, they have board games, suggesting they might host game nights. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk, which was rich and refreshing on a hot summer day. Although I didn't try any food, I saw others leaving with tasty-looking sandwiches. The outdoor seating is limited but perfectly sized for the shop. I really wish there were more Clipper Coffee locations in the Bronx—this place truly made my day. I appreciate independent coffee shops like this one that enrich the local community’s culture. The owner has my support and gratitude. If you’re in City Island, I highly recommend stopping by Clipper Coffee. There were many families enjoying the place on the day I visited. It’s a delightful spot in the Bronx!
