Cassandra's Bakery - BRONX

The name of this place has changed (presumably under new management) and is now Cakes by Alejandro. The customer service was subpar as they did not greet customers upon arrival. I witnessed a woman rudely dismissing a man on the phone, which was off-putting. Despite this, I wanted to support the new business and decided to give it a chance. I purchased cupcakes, tres leches cake, and flan. The cupcakes were stale, the flan was hard and tasted like something store-bought, not homemade. It was overly sweet. I did not even bother to try the cake and ended up throwing it away. I enjoy trying new eateries, but unfortunately, this one was a disappointment.

Drive all the way from connecticut to get this cake. cake was very dry and very little filling money waste and a 4 hours drive.

Very poor, they gave me the wrong cake n mispell my daughter name n the lady on the phone she is very rude she’s what tells meno well don’t waste ur money

I love this place get cakes from them for all occasions, every year. Authentic DR cakes!

Cake looked beautiful, kids complained that it was too sweet but ate it all except for the filing no one ate that, it was dulce de leache (usually everybody loves that).
