Description

Ming's Restaurant offers a fluctuating dining experience that has left patrons divided. While some visitors rave about the excellent service and delectable dishes, such as the lobster seafood set meal, others recount nights marred by rude staff, below-average food quality, and mishaps with orders. Complaints about overly salty and poorly cooked elements, alongside experiences of delayed service, have surfaced. However, a loyal following persists, with many appreciating the warm ambiance and generous portions. Ultimately, Ming’s stands as a restaurant that may deliver delightful meals one night and disappoint the next, making it a gamble worth considering.

I went for a meal here for my friends birthday, had a great time and the food was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. I didn’t have too much food wise, but my friends meals looked amazing. For my drink I had a sex on the beach cocktail, and it was great for the value. We ordered a take away with chicken dishes the chicken was squidgy really quite disgusting. I’ve looked at all the reasons why this is and it could be either a process called velveting or chickens injected with brine, but whatever the reason we won’t be ordering from there again. In the past we’ve had sweet sour chicken balls which are always of a normal texture. Such a shame. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First visit to Mings, Service was ok albeit a bit slow but in their defence they were very busy, Decor was good,Had a starter of S+P squid portion size was massive although cooked a bit too much making it a bit tough, Had pork rice for main course, Rice was a bit on the bland side but again edible, All in all a good night would go again. Not sure we ate the same place as all these great reviewsPicked to eat here for lunch given the positive google reviews. We paid just under £60 for lunch. The waiter was very unfriendly food was bland table cloth and heaters on table dirty. Won’t be back. Still looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Kent
