Feedback
The café is a bit expensive and usually crowded, but the food and atmosphere are usually good. However, the main male barista's attitude was disappointing. When I addressed his rude comment, instead of apologizing, he told me not to return if I bring my own coffee again, despite the fact that I regularly spend around £20 per visit. I will do him a favor and not return at all. Luckily, Beckenham has plenty of other dining options. Good luck to the café, I hope they reconsider how they speak to their loyal customers in this competitive economy.
Fee Brown is my favorite cafe in Beckenham. They offer a great selection of drinks, such as sugar-free matcha lattes, delicious coffee, and unique tea blends, including herbal infusions, all at a very affordable price. Their cakes and pastries are also top-notch.
The main draw for me and my toddler to enjoy lunch out was the beautiful garden. The atmosphere was quiet and lovely, and the staff were pleasant. Previous visits were too busy and I had to wait a long time, but this time the service was quick. I was surprised to learn that they offered poached eggs on toast, so I ordered scrambled instead. However, I was disappointed with the eggs, which were very orange and not properly scrambled. The grilled tomatoes I ordered were just fresh salad tomatoes cut in half, which didn't quite fit with the hot food. The location in the garden was lovely, but overall it seemed more like a coffee and cake place rather than a brunch spot. They should be able to do poached eggs, but the tiny kitchen may not have a dedicated chef. I believe that restaurants should state if their eggs are free range or organic, especially considering the price and location. Personally, I avoid non free range eggs due to ethical concerns. Perhaps there should be a logo for establishments to display indicating their ethical standards.
Went for a quick coffee at 11.30 bank holiday Monday before the lunch rush today however waited for over 10 mins and no coffee was served despite my reminding the waitress. I left without coffee as there are loads of coffee shops in Beckenham! Went onto Daisy Greys and was served within 4 mins...
