Good seasoning, delicious dishes, just one recommendation, do not order fried wonton, it comes without pork filling and with very little tamarind sauce. Pleasant atmosphere Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lomo Saltado View all feedback.
What Kate doesn't like about El Rey Peruvian:
The service was great! The food, not so much. Wasn't terrible. I've been making a point to try out local Peruvian joints and this one just kinda disappointed. Meat was pretty dry and there was something off putting about the papa a la huancaina sauce. Rice was super flavorful though. We had the fried fish and the chicken. The chicken was dry, the fish had a chewy outer layer, and the fries were soggy. Maybe it was just an off day because overall the reviews are pretty positive and it seems like a family business trying to do well. Maybe we'll try again and hope for a better experience in the future. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3
OMG the middle of a small mall off Mukilteo speedway near a big Safeway. I had the tallerin saltado, chicken. Huge meal for one. Box for lunch! Very flavorful. It was almost empty when I was there so atmosphere was difficult to judge. I count it as a find.
