Caught up with a friend for dinner on Friday night. Service was quick and friendly, Salad bar fresh. My Pork Loin Chop was absolutely out of this world to my surprise - cooked to perfection which I have never come across yet at any other pub, and chips crispy. My friend had an eye fillet and was also very pleased with hers. Overall very impressed and will definitely return View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hampstead Hotel:
I have always held the view that a pub is generally just a pub when it comes to food.Nine times out of ten I am right! And this pub is no exception. Ordinary food, bland salads in the salad bar and veggies that looked like grandma had cooked them before passing. View all feedback.

Not having been to the Hampstead for over two years, we made a booking for dinner on Saturday 3 December 2016 at 7.15 pm. We ordered our meals at 7.23 pm. By 7.50 pm our meals had not arrived. We mentioned to a passing waitress that our meals had not arrived, yet other tables that had arrived after us, were receiving their meals. After 5 minutes the waitress returned and advised that our meals were being "prepared". Another 20 minutes passed and our meals had not arrived. This time, my wife approached the counter to enquire, and was told that they had burnt her meal, and they would be ready in 5 minutes. After waiting over 1.5 hours, we advised the staff that we were not preppared to wait any long and requested our money back. We were given our money back and left. Will not be goinf back to the Hampstead again!
After a really busy weekend we decided to eat out on a Sunday night-the 3 course carvery special, at the hampstead. We hadn't been there for a year. We were really surprised to find the whole place practically empty. The Wok meals weren't available. The oysters were only done kilpatrick. The soup didn't come out with the other entrees. We had to ask for our soup after waiting for 30 mins. The medium rare steak was overdone and chewy. The sweet potato tasted like it had been boiled not roasted. The 2 girls working ( if that's what you'd call it) didn't look like they wanted to be there. One was about to remove our wine bottle with a glass full still in it and as soon as it was empty, promptly took the bottle AND our glasses!!! Think they wanted us gone!!! Only positive was the veg bar-should've had that. Also then had to ask for ice cream that was part of the carvery deal. Won't be returning-really disappointed.
6 adults ordered 4 different meals. All were very nice, service was good and prices reasonable. Will return here
