Our work Christmas event was here in December, the building is beautiful, the bar is intimate with a modest selection. We ate, as a group of around 20 in one of the side rooms, all around one large table, the food was ok, while I recognize serving everyone together is difficult to get it all out quickly, I did feel there was too much of a gap between the first and last of each course especially as we pre-ordered. What JDB38 doesn't like about Stower Grange:
The restaurant's beautiful building and decor were overshadowed by its dated furnishings and lack of air conditioning. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, especially considering the price. There are many other places that offer better quality afternoon tea at a more affordable price. It's a shame, as the potential for improvement is evident. View all feedback.
I'm just having breakfast before checking out after a 5 night stay. what an absolute pleasure it has been. I fully recommend this hotel. Food, staff, room and surroundings , are excellent. If you like great service, great food and a friendly atmosphere, this is the place !! , Absolute top marks from me !!
We attended our friend's wedding at this restaurant and everything was perfect from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable, the service was friendly, the food was amazing and delicious, and the cooked-to-order breakfasts were fantastic. The surroundings were beautiful and it was a delightful place to stay. We will definitely be returning for another long weekend in the future.
Our second stay at this hotel a pleasure to return. The owner, Richard, is a most personable convivial chap. All the staff are pleasant, friendly helpful. This is an authentic, characterful, independent hotel. Great service, comfortable accommodation exceptional food served in a very pleasant relaxing dining room. Highly recommended.

No one took drinks orders at table which meant we had to go through to the bar which was an inconvenience.
