We had Hummus, Labne, Fried halloumi and falafel. Everything was delicious. The labne was super creamy and amazingly spiced. Hummus w as great as was the fried halloumi. Falafel weren't the best I have had, but went well with everything else. Also had the spicy shuka paste. Loved the chocolate babka french toast. View all feedback.
What Bindu N doesn't like about Shuka:
Great service, nice atmosphere. The labneh and za'atar fries are great. But the shakshouka is blah. The point of shakshouka is to bake eggs in a sauce so it absorbs all the yummy flavor. This place poaches eggs on the side and then throws them in the dish at the end. Overall, the taste is meh. We all liked our apps better. Isn't this supposed to be the namesake dish? Delicious middle-eastern food. Highly recommend their fried halloumi, pistachio dip and chicken shawarma. We went on a weekday for dinner. We had reservations, but there seemed to be plenty of space for a walk-ins.
Amazing brunch — the shakshukka is a must. We just went for dinner for the first time (only been here for brunch) and it was delicious. The fried haloumi, all the dips, and the steak kebab were amazing. Love this place, can’t wait to go back!
