If you haven’t been to this place, do it for the lovely owner who welcomes you with the best smile and open heart. There has never been a time when I have gone there and left without trying a bunch of different things. Everything here has a homey feel to it and poured with love. You have to try the samosas, chaat, chicken meals and sandwiches. Fuller stomachs and even fuller heart promised. View all feedback.
ALL HANDS ON DECK BECAUSE THEY ARE INDEED CLOSING AT THE END OF MARCH!! If you’ve been thinking about trying Savor for forever, this is your sign to make up for all those times in two weeks. Their sandwiches and Indian food are so good and a must try. Please stop by if you get the chance!!
PLEASE VISIT THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE IN THE NABE OR LIVE ON THE UES.I came in yesterday evening and the owner informed me that this place is closing by the end of the month. Can't make the increased rent over the past few months. The food is absolutely outstanding! Best Hoagies (or HERO'S I'm from Philly... in Manhattan with BoarsHead deli products. My heart was broken for him. A very pleasant man. Always easy to chat with.
Review is for their homemade Indian food. I have been few times : First time butter chicken with rice and samosas both were delicious !! Second time a vegetarian combo aloo baingan (potato and eggplant curry) and Rajma (red kidney bean curry) with rice for $12.99. They were both so good and homestyle. Generous portion. Will easily feed two people. Third time veggie combo of saag aloo (potatoes in spinach sauce) and aloo baingan (eggplant and potato stew) Tasted amazing, simple, very homemade! Again, very generous portion Samosa chaat delicious. Peas curry is from vatana beans and not chickpeas makes a difference, love it. The owner seems to care about feeding people more than selling the food. Will return to try their other items and sandwiches. Their Indian food is much fresher delicious than Punjabi Junction (next door).
Very nice home made Indian food! I'm Mexican, and the spices reminds me the comfort food that I like. The owner is very friendly and the food delicious. My favorite is the butter chicken and the Mughlai Chole
I'm so glad Savor is what used to be old Subway sandwich place, the sandwiches are delicious and made with care. It's my daughter's favorite place to go after her swim meets for her favorite hero pastrami with mozzarella, homemade pickles, mayo mustard. I took a bite it was a yum moment, especially after I dipped it into the russian dressing he gave her for me which made it a double yum! Now it's your turn to support our favorite sandwich place on the UES!
