Was Kaitlin Chiu at Sambak Sambabzip a mag?
A fantastic mother-son team is running this restaurant. They have revamped their menu (check out the pictures), and I can't wait to return to try their large fish jeongol! I ordered the spicy pork ssambap, and it was amazing, accompanied by an abundance of fresh vegetable wraps. This place is truly a hidden gem. View all feedback.

We ordered ssam bap and accidentally ordered 4 servings ? so I was surprised when I heard the price but when we broke things down it's actually super affordable for the fresh, perfectly seasoned, and the variety of food you get. We'll be eating the rest of the food for the next couple of days. It's super healthy so I'm so excited to have found this place. The owner was suer friendly too. I definitely will return!
I had ssambab, which is their main food. Veggies are so fresh!!!? Jeyukbokkum and side dishes are tasty. The owner is so nice and kind. You could ask more veggies. She told me I can have them as much as I want. Definitely would go again with my friends! ? highly recommend!
Ssam comes in a variety of waysAnd the food comes out really fast
It's strange that this place has fewer customers than Jeonju. Maybe it's because the signboard reads Ssambap, so it's not far from Ssam.. They have steamed soup and it's cooler than other restaurants..Cheonggukjang is excellent. The best in New York.
The food was absolutely delicious! I went there craving stir-fried pork with ssam, and I was pleasantly surprised to find soybean paste, cabbage, and kelp as well. The seasoning on the pork was perfect, especially when paired with onions—it was so tasty! I’m not usually a big fan of rice, but I appreciated the option to choose between black rice and mixed grain rice, haha. The owner even generously packed up the leftovers for me. Overall, it was a wonderful Sunday dinner, and I can’t wait to go back again!

This is a very relaxed and peaceful place. The food is delicious and the variety of vegetables is impressive and fresh. Everything is organic. I'm very satisfied and can’t wait to come back!
Initially, I was concerned because there weren’t many people in the restaurant at 5:30. However, every side dish was delicious. The grilled mackerel was superb and incredibly fresh. The bossam, or steamed pork, was also very good. The ssambab exceeded my expectations with generous servings of fresh vegetables, which I didn’t anticipate during winter when veggies can be pricey. The portions were more than enough, and I left feeling completely satisfied. I will gladly recommend this place to my friends. The owner seemed proud of her food and while she wasn't overly fast, she was kind enough to refill our side dishes. We enjoyed every dish we ordered.
