What Amanda H doesn't like about Saigon Social:
The service was lovely and friendly. The food was just okay. We had a variety of choices including the banh xeo, banh beo, banh cuon, garlic noodles with shrimp, bo kho, the banh mi burger and an assortment of drinks. Nothing was very good or memorable. Ribs are excellent, bun cha pretty good, and they are willing to swap things for dietary restrictions
Dry oxtail rice. Cold, tough garlic noodles. Absolutely does not deserve to be on NY Top 100 list.

Awesome food! Great modern Asian bites. The decor is however pretty basic for the price point.
The phogroni is a work of art. The food is very good, but you can probably get better pho at less hip/trendy spots in town for half the price. Still worth a trip for the rice cakes alone.
