What Saide Nur ALP (saide’s) doesn't like about Ruby's Cafe East Village:
The pasta was undercooked and quite hard so it didn't absorb the sauce at all. Contrary to what I expected, the sauce was not tomato based. The ragu wasn't bad, but the meal didn't form a whole as it didn't mix with the pasta. Although I generally like Ruby, I wouldn't recommend this dish. Also, the interior smelled very heavy. Amazing food! Got the fried chicken burger with sweet potato fries. Both were perfection. Restaurant is extremely loud for some reason though so if you’re sensitive to noise maybe come at an off hour. View all feedback.
