Oxalis was such a seamless dining experience! I celebrated my birthday here today and I am so glad I made the right choice. I got the prix fixe menu at the enclosed outdoor space. I was concerned it would be chilly but it felt cozy. We were welcomed by a warm note and a surprise welcome drink on the house. What Ian & Frankie Harrison doesn't like about Oxalis:
The carte blanche had delicious food, but small portions. I expected small sizes, but not the extent it was. For example the steak and and fish were supposed to be the main courses, however on the steak you received two strips and the fish a quarter of a fillet. The sourdough was incredible and the snacks as well, but the rest was a bit underwhelming mainly due to portion size. Perhaps a la carte is a better option.... View all feedback.
Beautiful food, lovely service. We celebrated a birthday here and had a perfect evening. The tasting menu was full of unique flavors and textures (bergamot puree, Ojibwe wild rice). Would definitely return for a special occasion.
