What Trafficman968 doesn't like about Nook:
We had not even taken off out jackets yet and the waitress asked us quickly, what do you want? My wife and I just looked at each other. To make matters worse we are sat near the door which kept an opening with cold air blowing in. So we left our jackets on. Needless to say not off to a good start. Breakfast was a different story and very delicious as all aspects of everyone of our meals was outstanding . The pancakes... View all feedback.
What a great spot! Took my kids w/husband.. I had omelet, kids had French toast, parfait and hubby had cali Benedict.. the food was fresh, hot delicious and the portions generous! The waitstaff was very attentive and the kitchen was very fast! It’s a busy spot but they managed the busi-ness very well!
The Breakfast Nook is a family-friendly place for breakfast and lunch. Good-sized portions and excellent service. Note that they have moved to a new, larger brighter location at 565 Washington Street, about a half mile north of the old place on the other side of the street, with east-facing windows for great morning light.
In our opinion this is the best breakfast joint in Connecticut. The employees are friendly, happy, attentive and amazing at what they do! The food is top notch; fresh and plentiful. You’ll not leave hungry. They get their bread locally and it makes the meal. This place gets busy as it is very popular. Eat breakfast here soon!!
A excellent cup of coffee and an amazing basic breakfast. Varied selection of belly filling meals. I couldn’t finish mine ,but it was good . Definitely a place to return to and apparently has many regulars.
I love the new spot for this eattery. They have one of the best craned beef hash in the area. Everything is Al a carte and it can get a bit expensive vs other breakfast spots in the area. They move to a new larger location- very nice and it was way too loud.
