This is probably the fourth Mexicue location that I’ve dined at. It met expectations and delivered what you’d expect from Mexicue. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Since it’s early afternoon we didn’t get drinks but my general experience at any Mexicue is that the drinks are always good. (Shout out to our bartender at the now closed location in DC!! He used to get us lit!!! ? . They did a really nice job des... View all feedback.
Had a lovely lunch at Mexicue! Their tacos and enchiladas are tasty as are their drinks, which hit perfectly with this crazy summer heat. Shoutout to Evan, our super-friendly and attentive server. Will return. ?
We stayed 6 nights at a hotel in Flat Iron and stumbled on Mexicue on our first night after arriving later to our hotel. The food was delicious (I had the brisket salad mixed with kale and rice) and the service was flawless. We ended up coming back for drinks and nachos and then again for dinner on two other occasions. The selection of Mexican fare and the amazing spicy margaritas were definitely worth going back for.
Super flexible and kids friendly service. Amazing food.
I loved this place. The brisket burrito was the best thing ever. The place is great. The food is amazing! I would give it 10 stars
Update 2024: While the atmosphere is great and our server was incredibly sweet and attentive, this is no longer my favorite restaurant in NYC. I would give the food 2 3 stars. We ordered grilled street corn and it was undercooked and shockingly bland. The stacked chicken enchiladas were more like stacked plain tortilla tacos, they had no sauce on the outside and were incredibly dry to eat. The prices have gone up but the food quality has gone down. Update 2022: Mexicue is a must stop in NYC, great happy hour location, strong drinks and fantastic food. I stopped by here on a solo day trip and the waitress was super kind and helped me feel very welcomed and comfortable as a solo diner. The food was still just as great as before, and their Frida Mezcal is the reason why I now love mezcal. Mexicue is amazing, I 've been here several times while visiting NYC and will continue coming back. I was very impressed by the strength of the drinks we received at this locations, others are lacking in that. They have amazing avacado tacos and salsa Verde. The corn on the cob ribs felt too expensive for a single corn on the cob just chopped up, but the taste was wonderful we just wanted more for the price because it was barely any food. Everything else was awesome, and our waitress was very sweet.
