When I say that this place BLEW me away I have not stopped dreaming of the food since I left. I shared the lobster noodles and crab fried rice with my boyfriend and we both left feeling very full. Portions are super generous and it was the most amazing Thai food I have ever had. If you go there be sure to get the lobster noodles, they are unlike any other dish I’ve tried. I can’t wait to go back and order more stuff... View all feedback.
What Jay B doesn't like about Little Wayla:
Overpriced food small portions. Beautiful plates but not much flavor. Truffle spring roll had no truffle taste. The pork meatball was fried outside was hard and dry. The papaya salad was in a tiny bowl. The calamari was missing color, needed to cook a little longer. Thai iced was with oat milk, healthier ok but not the original and taste we are looking for. The basil lemonade just taste like lemonade on ice. Honestly... View all feedback.
Some of the best thai I've had in a long time. Chicken wings, Curries , Brussel sprouts are amazing. Service is so good too. Daria was super nice. Definitely coming back.
The food was very underwhelming and it is a pretty expensive Thai restaurant. Likely won’t return. The drinks were ok.
Wayla has been bookmarked for the longest time and I finally had a chance to head downtown to try them out. It may be easy to miss the restaurant since it is in the basement but there was a host waiting outside who noticed I was looking for the restaurant and he was able to direct me to my table. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has really cool vibes. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful too. Their drinks are pretty unique and there is a great range of alcohol, so there is definitely a drink for everyone to enjoy. I had the Mango Tango and it wasn't too sweet and not too strong, which is perfect to me. My friend ordered the same drink after trying mine and it actually didn't taste the same as mine did. We told our waiter and the bartender was more than happy to fix it to our liking. The portions for every dish we ordered were large enough to be shared. To start, we had the Pla Muk Tod (fried calamari), Peek Gai Tod (chicken wings), Kua Kling Kung (wok-fried shrimp), Tua Pad Prik Khing (long beans), and Khao Pad Pu (crab fried rice). The calamari was nice and crispy and the sauce was so addicting that we asked for more because we still had half of the plate to finish. The wings were cut in half for ease of eating and it was also crispy and flavorful. The sauteed shrimp was SOOO spicy! Our waiter did warn us, but most of us could handle spice, so we still wanted to try it anyway. It was also numbing, but it was still delicious to me. The long beans were also spicy but not as much as the shrimp; I liked the chili paste they used because it gave a lot of flavor. The crab fried rice was cooked perfectly and there was a lot of crab meat; it's a good staple for me but it wasn't anything unique. Their menu is on the pricier side, which is no surprise since it is in the city, but everything was so good and the experience was great, so I would definitely return.
The food is quite delicious, the lighting and the atmosphere for taking photos are pretty good, but it’s a bit dark. The service is very good, and the lobster fried rice noodles are delicious.
I came to break my fast, waiting for half the breakfast hour
