Was Xiuzhen C at Lin Daughters a mag?
The chive dumplings could benefit from meat that is not so finely minced, as they contain too much soy sauce. The vegetarian dumplings were fresh and enjoyable, but I personally prefer dumplings made with pre-cooked vegetables, similar to how Spicy Moon prepares theirs. The ingredients are fresh overall. In conclusion, I think this place is somewhat overhyped. View all feedback.
What Kevin L dislikes about Lin Daughters:
Brother Lins Beef Noodle Soup was mediocre: unremarkable noodles, one dimensional broth (just salty), and stringy beef. The Pan Fried Cumin Beef Dumplings w. Chili Sauce were had an overpowering beefy taste and not in a good way. Overall, this was poor value and I would not order again. View all feedback.
I absolutely loved the mom's wonton soup! I could come back for it time and time again.
This was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I'm not even sure it deserves to be called Chinese food. The noodles were mushy, and the broth was excessively salty. If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, I recommend heading to Chinatown instead.
Honestly, Moms Wonton Soup serves the best wonton soup I've ever tasted. The Pan Fried Cumin Beef Dumplings with Chili Sauce are packed with incredibly juicy and flavorful meat. It's definitely worth every penny!
Lin Daughters is such a great spot in the West Village! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done — every dish tastes thoughtfully made and full of balance. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the cozy, stylish vibe makes it perfect for a relaxed dinner or date night. The dumplings and noodles were amazing. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
What a cozy, wonderful find on 26th 6th. Asked for a recommendation for what to try — the pork and chive dumplings were outstanding! Fresh, flavorful and filling. Also had the spicy cucumber salad which is a great side — and not too spicy. Bright, clean space with warm friendly staff! Thank you! Lin Apos;S Pork Chive DumplingsBaba Lin makes really mean dumplings & this is one of them. They are a burst of flavor; filled + pork & chives. The wrappers are distinctly southern Chinese‐style; thin yet bouncy. Served + a side of house dumpling sauce.
