Service was outstanding—seated right away and wait staff was very attentive even though the place was packed. Would have been nice to have some true gluten free options in the thanksgiving menu—even just dessert but we were able to make it work. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jimmy’s Kitchen:
We have eaten at Jimmy's many times and have always had wonderful food and service. Our brunch on December 10 was very disappointing. The food was served cold and my short rib eggs benedict was awful. The short rib portion was very small, dry and tasteless. One of my poached eggs was hard as a rock and the white part of the egg was slimy. One of my dining companions had the crab eggs benedict and the crab cakes were... View all feedback.
This place never disappoints, from the moment you want in until you leave you are greeted, thanked for coming in and also when you leave. Thankfully Matt is working when we go on Sunday mornings, he is very attentive and is fun to visit with. This is my second review but Jimmy's is a go to place and our party makes it at least every month if not twice a month.
Based on OpenTable's list of restaurants that are open for Thanksgiving and a review of menus we made a reservation at Jimmy's for Thursday evening as there were several items on the Fish section of their menu we were interested in trying. There was no indication in OpenTable information or on Jimmy's website that their menu for Thanksgiving Day was limited to a Turkey dinner only offering. After being seated we found out that their normal menu was not available. When I asked our waiter how we were supposed to know that there was only a very limited specific menu available, his answer was that was how they had always done Thanksgiving Day. He offered no further explanation, so we left, disappointed and hungry. There are multiple ways this situation could have been handled better. OpenTable's list of restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving should note those that are serving a limited menu. Jimmy's website should have mentioned the menu limitations for Thanksgiving. When we reconfirmed our reservation on 11/18 the emailed response from Jimmy's could have mentioned the limited menu which would have allowed us to change our plans. The emailed reservation reminder on 11/22 could have mentioned the limited menu. For our first visit to Jimmy's our waiter basically telling us that we should have known about the limited menu has further discouraged us from giving Jimmy's a try under different circumstances.
We have dined at Jimmy's for Thanksgiving for the last several years. We've always been impressed by the quality of the food, the friendly service and the pleasant atmosphere. We look forward to dining there again!
We are frequent diners at Jimmy's but this thanksgiving dinner was not up to their usual standards. The turkey was dry and hard-needed lots of gravey to make it edible. The stuffing/dressings came out almost as a puree-it had been blended and had no texture and little flavor. As I said the service was first rate but the meal was a dissapointment.
I had never eaten at Jimmy's and was delightfully surprised, and glad that I made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner there. the weight staff were wonderful. Food was very good and did not feel rushed or pushed to get out. A very pleasant eating experience.
