What jay doesn't like about Carmine's:
So I paid for my food which came to $205. I paid in cash. I didnt put my waiter Jonathans $40 tip with the $205 because I was going to leave it on the table. So my waiter Jonathan noticed the tip wasnt with the $205 for my food and he came back to my table very nasty asking for his tip. He storms back and hes like SO WHERES MY TIP?! I was shocked! Sooo good! Best lasagna we've ever had. We even tried to go back another night, but unfortunately they couldn't seat us because we didn't have reservations. I would advise to make a reservation if you would like to eat here. Its worth it!

Host and bartender were amazing. We ended up eating at the bar and George served us, he definitely deserves a raise! It was good food, drinks, and service:

You don’t go here for a culinary experience. You go because it’s decent, good service and iconic NYC. If you’re seeing a show, it’s perfect before or after. Solid Italian cuisine.
