It was about 9am Monday and not a soul in the shop, we got instant help. Mocha was good, my daughter's iced mocha was good, and my wife got a matcha she enjoyed! Far better than Starbucks and the grumpy face logo is fun and adorable! View all feedback.
What Willie M doesn't like about Café Grumpy Fashion District:
One of my favorite spots in New York, NY to go to meet up with a friend, or get some work done. Matcha latte is my drink--creamy and sweet and not too strong with the caffeine. I don't usually order the food, but it all looks so delicious. View all feedback.
This place was great. Both drinks we had were yummy and flavorful! Great view as well.
Didn't like cappuccino because of the burnt taste but the atmosphere was really great!

Our favorite coffee shop has moved. No longer in Chelsea but bit closer now that this location is in the fashion district Once again great coffees and noshes.
Great Atmosphere! I found Kinda Good Coffee by accident last week. I was on my way to work and saw it out of the corner of my eye. It piqued my interest and so I figured I’d stop by. I swerved across Main Street like a drunk driver and hastily pulled into a corner space. I speed walked to the entrance like someone with indigestion on the way to the bathroom. As I opened the door, a little bell the size of a munchkin rang cheerily. I took a glance at the menu and figured it was adequate. The tables were old and rickety, and the brick walls were as dusty as your grandmother’s attic. I walked up to the counter to order and the grimy cashier looked at me like I had just eaten the last donut or something. I asked for a medium coffee with cream and sugar. She grunted like a boar and turned around, hollering something to one of the workers in the back. She swiveled back around and stared at me menacingly, like a tiger stalking its prey. I backed off and sat in one of the chairs (which felt about as stable as sitting on a pile of bones). The cashier yelled my name, rousing me from my stupor. Overall, a great spot! You really can’t get much better in the big apple!
