I received a raw burger and when I pointed it out, they tried to blame me, insisting that I had ordered it that way. I specifically requested a medium-well burger! The meat was completely uncooked—my mother would have gotten sick from it. I politely asked the server to cook it a bit longer, but he responded in a very rude manner. Thankfully, the grill cook came out to help me and he was incredibly nice. My family and I have been frequenting this place for years since we live nearby, but ever since it changed ownership, both the service and food quality have plummeted. The burger was unacceptable! The server seemed annoyed that I didn't want my mother eating something so undercooked. I definitely won’t be returning. The store down the block is much better now, so I recommend skipping Channel Market and heading to Hamberry's, which is just a minute away.
We visited Channel Market for lunch and overall had a decent experience. The Reuben sandwich was surprisingly good for a grocery store, with the rye bread toasted to a nice char, earning it a rating of 3.5 stars. However, the Cowboy burger was quite overcooked and dry, so I wouldn't recommend it—just 1 star for that dish. The service was satisfactory. I would consider returning to Channel Market, but I would definitely steer clear of the burgers next time if I'm in the area and need a meal.
I visited this restaurant for sandwiches, but I was extremely disappointed with the hygiene standards. The employee behind the counter had just moved a garbage can and then proceeded to handle the bread while still wearing the same gloves. When we pointed out the issue and asked him to change his gloves, he picked up the same bread again with his dirty gloves. We decided not to complete our order after that experience. It was completely unsanitary, and I will never come back here again.
This restaurant was fantastic until it changed ownership. They no longer accept phone orders, which means you have to wait around 20 minutes for a sandwich. Additionally, the prices vary from day to day—one day your chicken sandwich might cost $8, the next day it could be $10, and then the following day it might be $9.99. While the quality of the food is still decent, the customer service and wait times are unacceptable. I think I’ll just stick to the bagel shop instead; the quality is just as good, and their prices are consistent.
The sandwiches are excellent, but I find them a bit expensive for a casual local spot. I do my best to remember that the little extras can really add up, and you end up paying twice as much.
