Description

Nestled in the heart of Brixham, this restaurant evokes mixed feelings among patrons. While some diners laud the excellent food and friendly service, particularly praising the seafood platter and local wines, others have encountered significant disappointments, citing cold dishes, overcooked seafood and steak, and sluggish service. Complaints about reservation mishaps and a lack of professionalism in customer service are notable. Despite its charm and potential, the restaurant struggles with consistency, leaving guests divided on whether it’s worth the slightly higher prices. While some rave about the culinary delights, others urge caution based on their experiences.

The food was disappointing. The mussels came without any sauce, so I had to send them back. When they were returned, the dish was cold. The steaks also didn't live up to expectations. Additionally, I found the head waiter or manager to be a bit over the top and somewhat overbearing.

Another amazing meal here. Not sure why there's negative reviews on here unless the people leaving the reviews are used to the service and food in mcdonalds. You get what u pay for folks.....and in this case its 1st class in everyday. Who cares about decor when ur there to have amazing g food and drinks. Thumbs up chef and to all ur staff

The menu promised a lot but only delivered a fraction of that—about 40%. I'm not sure if it was an issue with the staff, but the service was slow, and the food was not prepared as it should have been. I noticed several dissatisfied customers at nearby tables as well. There seemed to be a general sense of complacency in the atmosphere.

I called to make a reservation and left a message on their voicemail, but no one returned my call.

Make sure you book it isn't a large place.Food is very goodService great, very friendly staffFirst time i had steak, very nice so went back for a trio of local fish.Pinot blush was good and a selection of local bottled beers. It's slightly more expensive than some of the other places in Brixham but it was worth it.
