They also have a modest salad bar with some homemade options. The tater tots we ordered were perfectly cooked, and our steaks were equally impressive. We approached the restaurant from the back roads, driving through the historic site of Fort Randall Dam and crossing the Missouri River from South Dakota into Nebraska. The history of the frontier fort is well-preserved in the area. We navigated about 10 miles on gravel roads, but on our way out, we opted for the paved road as it was getting dark and cell reception was unreliable on the back roads. If you enjoy local spots with an authentic vibe, this restaurant is worth a visit!
