The menu features classic bar food, including some excellent flat iron steaks and prime rib available on weekends. They also have a modest salad bar with some homemade options. The tater tots we ordered were perfectly cooked, and our steaks were equally impressive. We approached the restaurant from the back roads, driving through the historic site of Fort Randall Dam and crossing the Missouri River from South Dakota into Nebraska. The history of the frontier fort is well-preserved in the area. We navigated about 10 miles on gravel roads, but on our way out, we opted for the paved road as it was getting dark and cell reception was unreliable on the back roads. If you enjoy local spots with an authentic vibe, this restaurant is worth a visit!
I ordered a ribeye steak, which was very tender but unfortunately lacking in flavor. I had my wife try it, and she agreed it was tasteless. She opted for the prime rib and thought it was quite good, though.
Great homemade food and a fun environment to spend an evening with friends. I highly recommend it!5+ stars.
