Chan's - Bristol, City of

Fantastic food. The food is always excellent here. The staff are always so kind and friendly. We had a mix of food, all of it tastes so good. Unlike other Chinese where everything tends to be greasy you don't come away feeling bloated. Really good prices and great food. Lovely waiting area too, few magazines to read. Would recommend ordering ahead as they get very busy!

On the basis of reviews given, we thought we'd give this a try. Whilst the food was hot and good sized portions, it tasted terrible. The szechwan chicken was a combination of sweet and sour, pepper, pineapple and cashew nuts. The squid with ginger and spring onion was rubbery and stank of a public toilet. The chow mein tasted as if the same oil had been used over and over and over again. The beef in black bean sauce was poor quality meat which was impossible to chew. The chilli beef was the same. We won't be ordering from here again!

Always great food from Chan's, delivered quickly and fantastic service, would highly recommend! Tried lots of other Chinese takeaways and you cannot beat the quality at chan's, thankyou!

I have visited this restaurant several times and will definitely return for more. I traveled from Yate to dine here, and the food was delicious, definitely worth the trip. I have tried a variety of dishes and have not been disappointed with any of them. The staff are also very polite and friendly, willing to accommodate any request.
